Go to Software Update in System Preferences to find macOS Big Sur. Click Upgrade Now and follow the onscreen instructions.
Upgrading from an older version of macOS?
If you’re running any release from macOS 10.13 to 10.9, you can upgrade to macOS Big Sur from the App Store. If you’re running Mountain Lion 10.8, you will need to upgrade to El Capitan 10.11 first.

Appointments for Online Counseling may be made by calling the Counseling office Monday thru Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm at 818.240.1000 extension 5918. |
Online Appointments are one-hour counseling appointments. Topics covered in an appointment include:

- Letters of Recommendation
If you have external transcripts please be sure to mention them in your appointment request.
PLEASE READ BEFORE THE ONLINE COUNSELING APPOINTMENT:
You will need to have access to a computer with specific technical requirements listed below:
- Browser: Latest version of Chrome or Firefox
- Webcam & microphone: Required for face-to-face online appointments
- Headset/Earbuds: Optional, but highly recommended for online appointments
Steps for Online Counseling
Once you make an appointment you will receive a confirmation/invitation email for the meeting from 'craniumcafe.com,' the online counseling platform. The email contains the link to the appointment and a link to cancel (decline) it if you need to.- If this is your first time logging on, please create an account using your GCC student email.
- Please log on 10 minutes before the appointment time. Please have a form of identification ready to show the counselor. (Student ID, Driver’s License, etc.)
Wait for your counselor’s invitation to your individual counseling appointment which will appear in your private chat appointment.
Make sure to save any documents created with your counselor onto your computer before the appointment ends and you log out.
Your appointment should be conducted in a quiet and private place. Please find a location where you will be able to communicate with the counselor effectively. (Do not log in from a public setting; Log in from a secured site.) Counseling appointments are confidential. The use of a private computer is strongly encouraged and if using a public/shared computer take all necessary measures to protect your data at the end of the appointment.
