Paths set in /etc/paths are added to the PATH at startup in all shells on Mac OS X. /.bashprofile is just one of several shell scripts run by Bash at startup, and several of these are Bash-specific. Therefore, if you change your shell — Mac OS X also ships tcsh and zsh, for example — changes made to /etc/bashrc don't apply to your new shell.

You play as Sophie on this adventure, a small girl of red clothing. Your main goal is to follow the path ahead in an attempt to find the truth of why you are in this weird place. While in Finder, click on the Go option on the taskbar of your Mac. Select Go to Folder option. You’ll see a new pop-up window named Go to Folder. Now, you need to drag the file or folder you want to copy the full path of and drag it into the input field that says Enter a path. Try following the path of debris. While steering the wheel; Hold right click to Roll. Hold the throttle and move mouse forward or backwards to adjust the speed.

In the game you only have three lives and death is permanent. You will have a score related to how many coins you collected and a death count related to how many times you died attempting to complete the game. Do you best and have fun!

This game is my first time ever solo and I had great fun. I made many mistakes and fixed a lot. The code is a mess but it still holds up to it's purpose. The game as a whole is kind of bad and I apologise to any perfectionist.

Overall I liked making this game because it brought me the chance to develop my skills. Also I pushed my limits and learnt new stuff in all aspects of game dev. Thanks to this jam I motivated myself to bring this too.

The menu music fits perfectly. The character sprite is also very well done. I could not finish the level due to what I experienced as frustrating level design.

Well done for a first solo project!

which parts were frustrating? I could attempt to fix them in the short time >...>

Also glad you liked it and sorry if the level was too hard, I may have fucked up with that part XD
Later on edit:

I saw the issue giving it one last test and it seems the jump force got reduced by some reason when exporting. Either way I fixed the problem and added new stuff. Thanks a lot and hope you like the new experience.

There is one part of the level in particular where the double jump does not always register:

I found a way around it which was by single jumping.

Also, it was quite difficult to navigate since visibility is low. It looks like you can jump down to certain places but then there are those blue spike things or hidden jumping enemies. Too hard for me :o But I got better after a few tries.

Have you noticed any issues with the double jump? Lastly one minor thing was one of the enemies is stuck in the ground and there's no way to jump over them without taking damage. Not sure if that was intentional or a small bug :P Oh and she slides when landing! Adds to the challenge but also not sure if intentional or not. Would prefer a more solid landing after jumps, but that's just me :)

You don't really need the double jump there I believe, all you have to do is jump right left right left. Yet I definetly see your point, will attempt to fix it i guess. Although as mentioned, I'm really bad at coding so I might not find out why the jump doesn't register.
Also I fixed the bugs you noticed, the enemy stuck in ground was a really bad placed collider and the jump was to add to the challenge but if it is really annoying I might just remove it. About visibility, I will attempt to increase the camera size. Thanks a lot for the feedback though, it really helps me.
The new pack should have fixed most of the things you mentioned. The rest will come post jam >.......<

Sophistry is an interactive romantic visual novel game, which includes a dating simulation system. The game is currently under development by our team, 2 Cubs Studio. The expected release date is scheduled for summer 2021.

Sophistry is aiming to be true to the core meaning of “Visual Novel” by providing vibrant and animated visuals, as well as a very deep and rich story line reminiscent of classic Korean romantic drama series.

The game will initially be available on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, followed by a later release on Android and iOS.

Assuming a successful Kickstarter funding in April 2021; the expected core features are:

  • 6 Unique characters (3 males and 3 females), to choose from; each with their own story line and point of view. You can enjoy the game playing only one character, but you’ll only uncover all the mysteries of the stories by playing all six of them, as everything is happening from the perspective of the character you selected.
  • The decisions you make matters and have consequences. The character you choose to play as well as the one you choose to romance will affect your story line and the behavior of the other characters.
  • Each play through is approximately 10 hours long, playing once each of the characters brings the minimum game play time to at least 60 hours for a single run, trying all the core 18 routes+ will take you around 200 hours to fully explore all what Sophistry has to offer in core content (not taking in account randomized game play)!
  • Dynamic endings. Our endings are dynamically generated based on the paths and decisions you made along your game play, making each ending unique on its own.
  • Ultra HD character designs and animations. In order to meet the visual side of “Visual Novel”, the backgrounds are designed in full HD, while the characters are designed and animated in 4K resolution; some assets even have been developed in 8K! Animation is made using Live2D. Now you can truly enjoy our visual novel, regardless of your screen size, goodbye small pixelated window!
  • 19 original songs with vocals as OST in addition to all the atmospheric scores. Each character and core path has its own score and song composed, written and sung for them by professional artists.
  • Fully voice acted, even the main protagonists all the way to the smallest npc.
